The Mind, Body, and Spirit Foundation, a collaborative community initiative, encourages the pursuit of teacher education through the issuing of college scholarships which are made available through community activities that promote and model healthy lifestyle choices. |

Purpose |
|
The purpose of the Mind, Body, and Spirit Foundation is to provide easier access to teacher education through the granting of two scholarships each year. The first scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who has indicated a desire to pursue a degree in teacher education. The second scholarship is to be awarded to a teacher who is currently employed in the teaching profession and has elected to pursue an advanced degree. |

The Mind, Body and Spirit Foundation was formed by a group of educators who became concerned about two major problems facing the state of Mississippi.
